บริษัท ดาคอน อินสเป็คชั่น เซอร์วิสเซส จำกัด จัดตั้งขึ้นครั้งแรกใน ออสโล, ประเทศนอร์เวย์ ในปี 1979 เป็นบริษัทที่ดำเนินธุรกิจให้บริการดำน้ำและการตรวจสอบทางทะเล หลังจากที่ได้เริ่มต้นเข้าไปมีส่วนร่วมในโครงการพัฒนาต่างๆ ในช่วงแรกของการสำรวจน้ำมันใน ทะเลเหนือ ในปี 1984 ดาคอน ทำสัญญากับบริษัท Elf ในการพัฒนาเครื่องมือ ROV เครื่องมือตรวจสอบภายในที่ดีที่สุดเครื่องแรกของโลก

ในปี 1993 สำนักงานแรกในเอเชียของดาคอน ได้เปิดดำเนินการในประเทศสิงคโปร์ ให้บริการด้านการตรวจสอบในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้

ในปี 1994 ได้ก่อตั้งตัวแทนขึ้นในกรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ประเทศมาเลเซีย มีการให้บริการส่วนใหญ่สำหรับในเขตชายฝั่งของมาเลเซีย และอุตสาหกรรมปิโตรเคมีในเขตชายฝั่งทะเลตะวันออก

ในปี 1996 ดาคอนได้จัดตั้งสำนักงานใหญ่แห่งใหม่ในจังหวัดระยอง ประเทศไทย และในเวลาไม่นานได้ขึ้นเป็นหนึ่งในผู้ให้บริการการตรวจสอบในพื้นที่ชายฝั่ง และในเขตตัวเมืองทั้งหมด ในส่วนของธุรกิจปิโตรเคมี โรงกลั่นน้ำมัน และอุตสาหกรรมพลังงาน ใน เวลาต่อมาดาคอนพยายามพัฒนาให้เป็นบริษัทที่ให้บริการการตรวจสอบอย่างเต็มรูป แบบ ทั้งการตรวจสอบแบบไม่ทำลาย การตรวจสอบทั่วไป และการตรวจสอบแบบเฉพาะทาง ดา คอนในวันนี้ถือเป็นหนึ่งของผู้ที่มีเครื่องมือหลากหลายในผู้ให้บริการสำหรับ การตรวจสอบท่อในโรงงานอุตสาหกรรมทุกประเภท (ดูส่วนอุปกรณ์สำหรับข้อมูลเพิ่มเติม)

ในปี 1999 ดาคอนเริ่มพัฒนาแบรนด์ใหม่ของเครื่องมือตรวจสอบระบบท่ออัจฉริยะ จากการร้องขอของบริษัท Total ประเทศฝรั่งเศส และการปิโตรเลียมแห่งประเทศไทย (PTTEP) เพื่อ ทำการพัฒนาเป็นเครื่องมือที่มีความสามารถในการตรวจสอบท่อ เนื่องจากบริษัท โทเทล/ปตท.สผ. ได้ประสบกับความไม่ถูกต้องจากเครื่องมือในการตรวจสอบท่อชนิดอื่นๆ

ในปี 2001 บริษัทดาคอน เริ่มต้นธุรกิจบริษัทให้บริการด้านไอที ในอำเภอบ้านฉางจังหวัดระยอง ในเรื่องฮาร์ดแวร์และการให้บริการหลังการขาย โดยผู้เชี่ยวชาญเทคโนโลยีในเรื่องการสื่อสารไร้สาย (Wireless/WiFi)

ในปี 2006 จัดตั้งบริษัทดาคอนเทรดดิ้งขึ้น เพื่อทำการค้าในส่วนของอุปกรณ์บำรุงรักษาและตรวจสอบในงานอุตสาหกรรมปิโต รเคมี รวม​​ทั้งการเป็นตัวแทนจำหน่ายอย่างเป็นทางการของผลิตภัณฑ์ไฟฉายและกล่องใน งานอุตสาหกรรม ยี่ห้อ Pelican

ในปี 2006 ดาคอนทำการซื้อที่ดิน 4 ไร่ บนถนนสุขุมวิทในอำเภอบ้านฉาง และ ได้จัดตั้งบริษัทอสังหาริมทรัพย์ขึ้นใหม่ ชื่อว่า ดาคอน อีสเทิน เพื่อเป็นเจ้าของที่ดินผืนนี้ โดยมีความตั้งใจที่จะเช่าที่ดินเพื่อให้ บริษัท ดาคอน อินสเป็คชั่น เซอร์วิสเซส จำกัด สร้างสำนักงานแห่งใหม่ ตลอดจนทดสอบ/สิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกในการตรวจสอบทางห้องปฏิบัติการ

นอก จากนี้ในปี 2006 ดาคอนเช่าที่ดินเพิ่มอีก 2 ไร่ ในอำเภอบ้านฉาง เพื่อสร้างลานทดสอบที่มีท่อขนาดใหญ่เต็มรูปแบบและสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกในการ ทดสอบ และ ลานทดสอบนี้ตอนนี้ได้ถูกย้ายไปอยู่สำนักงานแห่งใหม่ ซึ่งขณะนี้บริษัทน้ำมันเช่น ปตท.สผ. และบริษัทเชฟรอน เข้าใช้งานเพื่อทดสอบการใช้งานระบบท่อส่งที่มุ่งหมายสำหรับใช้งานนอกชายฝั่ง

ในปี 2007 ดาคอนได้เริ่มดำเนินการธุรกิจตัวแทนการท่องเที่ยว ที่มีความเชี่ยวชาญทางด้านการเดินทางเชิงธุรกิจ ภายใต้ชื่อ Thaiwings.com ได้รับอนุมัติและเป็นสมาชิกอย่างถูกต้องจากสมาคมขนส่งทางอากาศระหว่างประเทศ (อังกฤษ: International Air Transport Association - IATA) และเริ่มออกตั๋วได้เมื่อ เดือนมีนาคม 2007

ในปี 2008 ดาคอนได้รับการรับรองของมาตรฐาน ISO 9001-2000 ตรวจสอบโดยบริษัท TUV Nord ประเทศเยอรมนี ลูกค้าของเราจึงมั่นใจได้ว่าบริการที่มีคุณภาพของเราเทียบเท่ามาตรฐานระดับ สากล

ในปี 2009 ดาคอนได้ย้ายไปทำการที่อาคารใหม่บนเนื้อที่ 4 ไร่ (ประมาณ 1.6 เอเคอร์) ของตนเองในอำเภอบ้านฉาง จังหวัดระยอง สถาน ที่ตั้งใหม่ของสำนักงานประกอบด้วยห้องปฏิบัติการ ลานทดสอบอุปกรณ์ตรวจสอบท่อ สถานที่ฝึกอบรมการโรยตัว ห้องทำการวิจัยในสไตล์ร่วมสมัย และมีอุปกรณ์ไฮเทคต่างๆ ตั้งอยู่ห่างเพียง 2 กิโลเมตรจากสำนักงานเก่า มุ่งหน้าไปทางมาบตาพุดบนถนนสายสุขุมวิท พื้นที่ ของอาคาร 2,000 ตารางเมตร จะถูกใช้เป็นบ้านใหม่สำหรับกลุ่มพนักงานดาคอน เพื่อสนับสนุนองค์กรที่เติบโตอย่างรวดเร็วของเรา เพื่ออำนวยความสะดวกและมอบบริการที่ดีกว่าให้กับลูกค้าทั้งหมดของเรา

นอกจากนี้ในปี 2009 ดาคอนทำการเปิดสาขาใหม่ในจังหวัดสงขลา กับโครงการให้บริการในภาคใต้ของประเทศไทย

ตั้งแต่ เริ่มต้นในประเทศไทยในปี 1996 บริษัทดาคอนมีอัตราการจ้างงานโดยรวมของพนักงานที่ 88 คน และการดำเนินการที่รวดเร็วด้วยรถยนต์และศูนย์ฝึกอบรมการบริการให้แก่พนักงาน ของเรา

1. QMS & HSE POLICY

Dacon maintains a Quality Management System (QMS) that complies with the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 for Quality Management and Quality System Procedures. Copies of the main manual and the procedures are controlled issue documents and are available from the company on request. A smaller more compact document is designed for general distribution to employees, suppliers and customers and is not a controlled document.

The Health and Safety Policy Manual describes the Dacon Inspection Services Ltd. policies regarding health, safety and environment. The HSM has been developed to comply with regulatory, industry, and customer health and safety requirements that apply to items and services provided by Dacon. It is applied at Dacon operations worldwide and recognises the need to comply with the equivalent national standards imposed by international Customers/Safety Authorities.

3.PERSONNEL

All Dacon’s inspection personnel are as a minimum trained to SNT-TC-1A Level II in categories UT, MT and PT. Inspectors specializing in other fields will have additional certifications. Dacon employs Level III senior inspectors and conducts continuous training to maintain and improve inspection personnel capabilities.

All Dacon inspectors have as a minimum training the Offshore Sea Survival and Firefighting and Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET). All safety training is updated on 3 year intervals

4.FUTURE DEVELOPMENTS AND EXPANSIONS

Dacon has expanded in several directions over the last couple of years, with the acquisitions of more advanced inspection equipments, such as TOFD and expansion of the Tubular Inspection Tools. This has again increased the market lead Dacon has enjoyed in the high tech sectors of inspection.

Furthermore, the big development and R&D programs that Dacon has undertaken both on its own and in cooperation with customers, has elevated the intelligent pigging capability of Dacon to be of world leading capability. The new systems for pipeline inspections will incorporate some of the most technologically advanced applications ever before applied inside a pipeline.
In general Dacon is only just barely getting involved in the huge world wide market of pipeline inspection, where new legislations both in the US and the EU now demands pipeline operators to perform regular inspections.
