At Dacon Inspection Services’ 20-year anniversary celebration, the CEO, Mrs. Mallika Kaekla, announced the company’s ambition in taking on a leading role in the industrial inspection market within the AEC (Asian Economic Community) through cutting edge pipeline solutions and technologies such as Ultrasonic Intelligent Pigging and Long Range Ultrasonic Testing (LRUT). These effective techniques, used in a wide range of pipeline inspection projects, are in high demand in the industry and have greatly contributed to Dacon’s successful handling of the oil price crisis.
“Our company specializes in Pipeline Solutions and has been working on developing Ultrasonic Intelligent Pigging in Thailand since 1999, a fact well known to many companies from the oil and gas and petrochemical sectors. Moreover, we have launched Long Range Ultrasonic Testing (LRUT) services at the beginning of this year and are already one of the leading companies offering this specific service. As a result, Dacon can provide faster reponse times and an even wider range of services to it’s customers,” said Mrs. Mallika.
In addition to pipeline inspection solutions, Dacon also offers API (American Petroleum Institute) services with 56 inspectors certified in API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspections, API 570 Piping Inspections, API 653 Tank Inspections, API 571 Damage Mechanisms, API 580 Risk Based Inspections and Source Inspections (SI).
Furthermore Dacon is one of the first full members of the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA) in Thailand with IRATA qualified training facilities, permitted to not only provide rope access inspections but also to hold training courses throughout the region. As a fully certified IRATA Operator and Trainer, the company is able to offer it’s customers an extensive range of training solutions in-house or on site.
“Using innovative technologies, we are expanding our services from Thailand to neighbouring countries through the opening of our subsidiary office in Singapore in 2012 and an office soon to be opened in the Philippines. Dacon Inspection Services has been strengthening and preparing to penetrate the AEC market for many years by gaining new business partners in Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Laos. However, we are not only pursuing growth within the AEC, but are also expanding towards the Asia-Pacific region starting with Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China. With the oil crisis, many companies in the petrochemical and oil and gas sectors have adversely been affected but Dacon has developed a flexible business strategy to cope with this situation and managed to maintain substantial growth rates during these difficult times. We are able to assist our clients with genuine counselling, applicable inspection services, and budget saving options while providing quality at international standards. These are our strong points,” added Mrs. Mallika.
“Dacon has continuously developed it’s technologies for the past 20 years and we will not stop here. This year marks our 20th anniversary and we are looking forward to at least 20 more exciting years” concluded Mrs. Mallika , CEO of Dacon Inspection Services.
